As a WSI it is my job to provide a safe environment for children ages 6 months to 13 years to learn how to survive in the water. I also need to have the skills to make lesson plans everyday and have the ability to be flexible to keep the lessons fun and engaging. Along with teaching children, I also have relationships with their parents. This means communicating behavior problems, praising progress, and giving them feedback at the end of the 2 week class on how their child can continue to improve their skills outside of their time with me.
