Natalie Hassinger

I had many different roles and worked in many different departments in my time at Costco Wholesale. Although my main job was a front end assistant, (cashiering and cash handling, cashier assisting, pushing carts) I also spent a lot of my time cross training and working in other departments such as the food court, the deli, the bakery, the optical department, and membership. No matter what department I was in for the day my duties were to always make the members a priority and put member service above all else. As well as working in multiple different departments daily, I also participated in promotions such as member upgrades and credit card promotions, showcasing sales and member service skills.

While I was employed at Jenny Craig I worked one on one with clients tracking their weight loss progress by having weekly appointments, planning weekly meals and goals for activity, providing constructive feedback on areas for improvement, and celebrating achievements. I managed administrative tasks such as client scheduling, and calling previous clients to ensure continued weight loss success. I also stocked the food supply room daily and picked and packaged client orders and preformed daily opening and closing tasks.

In my time at Starbucks Coffee Company, I worked as a shift supervisor, delegating daily tasks and responsibilities. I completed store opening and closing procedures and managed cash handling procedures such as balancing the tills, the safe, and maintaining accuracy in financial transactions. I also responded to and resolved customer questions and concerns as well as de-escalated situations between both customers and coworkers. In my time with this company I was also a barista trainer, taking on responsibilities such as training new employees, delegating time out of the day to spend one on one with new baristas explaining standards and answering questions. I would spend two weeks with each new employee until they completed their barista certification. In my time at Starbucks I trained 20 baristas to completion.
