Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) 2021-25 

Basketball Representative - President 2023-25

• Collaborated with representative from all sports teams to offer input on rules, regulations, and policies that affect student-athletes
• Engaged with the community and worked to create a more inclusive environment within the athletic department. This included facilitating a SAAC cookout, Dragon Olympics, and showing of the Loyola Project Film

National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLA) 2021-23

• Met monthly to engage in leadership opportunities, listen to speakers, and grow professionally
• Participated in volunteering and community engagement: arc dances and game nights for individuals with intellectual disabilities

NSIC Strategic Planning Committee 2025

• One of the three NSIC student-athletes to be selected to represent the student-athlete voice.
• This committee worked together to create a 5-year strategic plan reflecting the core values of what it means to be a part of the conference (NSIC).

Student Athlete Advisory Committee President 2022-25

• Established the club's overall objectives and mission to create a more inclusive environment for MSUM student-athletes.
• In 2024, MSUM SAAC was awarded the NSIC SAAC Cup for the first time ever. The NSIC SAAC Cup is awarded annually based on points earned throughout the year. Member institutions earn points based on community engagement, events, meetings, and money raised for worthy causes.
• SAAC Female Volunteer of the Year (2023-24)(2024-25)

Conference Student Athlete Advisory Committee Rep 2022-25

• Met on Zoom monthly with other reps within the conference to discuss ideas and initiatives.

MSUM Female Athlete Gender Equity Rep 2023-25

• The one female student-athlete to be on this committee.
• Met monthly to discuss gender equity on campus and in athletics.

Selected for and attended NCAA Leadership Forum - April 2024

• One of three NSIC student-athletes to attend.
• Provided me with invaluable leadership skills, a refined understanding of the relationship among personal values, core beliefs and behavioral styles, and the support of a close personal network of like-minded peers.

MSUM Hunger Free Task Force Rep 2024

• One of two MSUM students to be a part of this committee.
• Met monthly to plan an event for students centered around food insecurities on campus.

Attended the NSIC SAAC Summit in May of 2023 and 2024

• One of three MSUM SAAC representatives to attend.
• MSUM hosted SAAC Summit in 2024, I spoke at several sessions.
• I was asked to do an NSIC Instagram takeover during the Summit in 2024.

• Met several times to review budget requests and voted on whether to pass these requests.

• One of two MSUM student-athletes to attend.
• This forum brought together leaders to engage in powerful programming and enhance efforts on diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging initiatives.

• Worked to bring in a mental health professional to speak to MSUM student-athletes about mental health and provide them with resources - Sept. 2023
• Volunteer at Eventide Assisted Living in Moorhead - Sept.-December 2022. Played games and talked with residents
• Volunteered at several Arc Dances for individuals with intellectual disability - 2022
• Volunteered to be the SAAC President and help organize events to give back to the community: Raising money for Polar Plunge and Make a Wish Foundation, spreading awareness on mental health, drunk driving, diversity, equity, and inclusion. Partnering with community and campus groups to bring in mental health speaker, showing of the Loyola Project, writing letters to elementary students and nursing homes. We also participated in community events such as Feed My Starving Children and volunteering in schools - 2022-present
