My professional background is in healthcare. I was a CNA for eight years, and now I am a nurse. I received my certification in 2015 through a vocational school. Working at both a local nursing home and in private home care for many years. More recently, I worked at Maine Medical Center as a CNA on the Barbara Bush Children's Unit. I was able to be successful in this job because of my people skills and care for others' well-being. I completed my nursing program on May 12, 2023. I passed my boards on May 29th, and accepted a job in geriatric psychiatry. Working as a full-time registered nurse in a locked psych unit, separate from the rest of Gorham House. I am also cross-trained in all other units: long-term care, dementia, and skilled rehab. While I was hired for psych, I worked equal hours on all three units. More recently, working in the operating room at MMC (since February 2025). I am now looking for a new nurse position. While I love my current job, I am currently looking for something new and exciting. A nursing role that allows me to provide more care and support one-on-one with patients and their families. While supporting a great work-life balance. I enjoy working alongside people who love what they do, learning how to best support our patients and families with expertise and guidance. I am a quick learner, and eager to learn new skills. I am looking to be part of a supportive care team that provides excellent care and support to patients and their families.
