- This multicenter research study involved the recruitment of 2,400 singleton pregnancies and 350 dichorionic twin pregnancies over the course of 3 years
- The primary goals of this study were: 1) to establish a standard for normal fetal growth and size for gestational age 2) to create an individualized standard for fetal growth potential and 3) to improve accuracy of fetal weight estimation
- Job duties: In order to be qualified to obtain ultrasound data for this study, sonographers were required to be ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography) registered in Obstetrics and Gynecology and certified in Nuchal Translucency measurements obtained by the NTQR (Nuchal Translucency Quality Review)
- Additional extensive training and certification by the Ob/Gyn department of Columbia University, NY was required as well
