Work History

Compounding and Finishing

1 Year 5 Months
Indigo Wild, LLC. | 03.2025 - Current

Production & Finishing Specialist | April 2025 – Present

“Versatile Beauty Production & Merchandising Professional with hands-on experience manufacturing premium skincare, body care, and artisanal wellness kits since April 2025. Uniquely skilled in combining

  • Bulk Formulation: Compound, weigh, and blend premium raw ingredients to manufacture high-quality body oils, facial cleansers, beauty products, and massage rubs under strict quality standards.
  • Artisanal Product Assembly: Manage the small-batch production, measuring, and packaging of specialized goods, including therapeutic bath salts and custom wool ball kits.
  • Visual Merchandising: Design, construct, and stock eye-catching retail store displays that maximize product visibility, enhance brand aesthetics, and drive customer engagement.
  • Quality Assurance: Inspect finished cosmetic liquids, oils, and dry kits for strict consistency in scent, viscosity, and packaging integrity prior to shelf placement.
  • Inventory & Compliance: Maintain a spotless, sanitized workspace while tracking raw ingredient usage and logging batch data to ensure zero production downtime.

Horizontal Ribbon Blender: This is the most common industrial machine used for large-scale bath salt compounding. It features a U-shaped trough and a double-ribbon agitator. The inner and outer ribbons move the crystals in opposite directions, creating a highly uniform blend of salt, color, and scent while keeping shear low enough to preserve crystal structure. [1, 2, 3, 4]

  • Rotary Drum Tumbler (V-Blender / Double Cone Blender): Often referred to in the industry as a tumble mixer, these machines completely rotate the entire vessel to blend the product. Because there are no internal moving blades hitting the product, a drum tumbler offers a zero-shear environment. This makes it the ideal machine for fragile, large-grain bath salts or blends containing delicate botanical additions like dried lavender or rose petals.
  • Liquid Spray Atomizer Manifold: An essential auxiliary component attached to the top of ribbon blenders or tumblers. It uses compressed air to spray a fine mist of essential oils or liquid dyes over the moving salt crystals, ensuring every grain is coated without causing clumping or wet spots.

📦 Packet Filling & Sealing Machinery (Sachet Packaging)

Once the salts are compounded, free-flowing crystals must be precisely portioned and sealed into air-tight pouches to prevent the salt from absorbing atmospheric moisture and hardening.

  • VFFS (Vertical Form Fill Seal) Packaging Machine: The standard automated system for making packets. It takes a flat roll of plastic or foil film, wraps it around a forming tube, seals the bottom and sides to create an empty pouch, drops the measured salt inside, and seals the top.
  • Auger Filler Packet Machine: If your bath salt formula contains fine powders (like baking soda, citric acid for fizzing, or colloidal oatmeal), a machine equipped with an auger filler—such as the Zonesun Auger Dry Powder Line—is used. This system uses a vertical rotating screw mechanism to cleanly drive specific weights of fine, dusty particles down into the packets without creating a cloud of dust that ruins the seal.
  • Multi-Lane Sachet Machine: Used for mass factory production.
