I am the owner of Next Wave Solutions LLC. I design and create custom epoxy flooring, furniture, jewelry, and various other pieces for individuals and companies. Being someone who works for themselves, I am used to doing everything that is needed to get the job done. I sit and meet with potential customers to talk about their desires and designs, and help them create a custom end result of the epoxy designs they desire.
As a FedEx Authorized Officer, Manager, and Owner Operator, I was responsible for five delivery zip codes in the state of Massachusetts. I managed 5 to 13 drivers throughout the year, handling schedules, hiring, training, and the maintenance requirements for the 15 trucks in which we delivered the packages. I was responsible for sorting the routes every morning, dividing 500-2,000 packages every day among the team of drivers. My responsibilities also included, but were not limited to, making sure all drivers were out of the building in a timely manner, along with orchestrating the chaos that inevitably happens. It was my job to make sure everything went smoothly, and to keep the team in good spirits. While the drivers were on the road, if a truck broke down, it was my duty to go assist the driver and help deliver the rest of the packages in the truck. I am used to being in a managerial position that has to cover other positions, as well.
I was an account executive for the company. Every morning, I was in charge of orchestrating meetings from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. The meetings required me to conduct a public speaking presentation every day. After presentations, one-on-one groups were formed to work on a new daily social skill. Once the morning meetings were finished, I was then sent to a selected territory that would range from Rhode Island, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Cape Cod, Quincy, Massachusetts, and other states and cities. Whatever client we were serving during those months is what we marketed for. My company was Direct Energy.
