Working in a 36-bed, fast-paced CVICU increases my ability to critically think and implement life saving interventions quickly and efficiently.

I provided safe, evidence-based critical nursing care for cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgical patients at this Level 1 Trauma Magnet Facility. I also gained extensive experience in a COVID-19 ICU from March 2020 to March 2022.

Working in multiple Intensive Care Units across a large hospital system has strengthened my ability to adapt and excel in high-stress, fast-paced environments. During the last two years of this position, I was working in the largest CVICU in San Antonio because I was hand selected to be part of their ECMO Specialist program.

As a travel nurse, I worked for 13 weeks in a CCU providing quality care for cardiac patients, adapting quickly to a new work environment and supporting a teamwork work ethic.

As an ICU staff nurse at this Medical Surgical ICU, I monitored and managed critical patient conditions, including interpreting and trending EKG readings, assisting physicians with bedside procedures, ensuring accurate treatment administration and timely patient recovery. I improved patient outcomes by developing and implementing individualized care plans for critically ill patients.
