Summary

My background is primarily encompassed by my knowledge and fascination with botany, landscaping, horticulture, and ecology. It is uniquely accordant with my educational history specializing in geographic information systems (GIS) at Towson University, where I focused my career goals around engaging in map design and the use of remote sensing and/or aerial photography for land planning and/or research. Second to this, the foundation of my
education has been in environmental sciences which circulates many areas of study. I have experience in the principles of data collection and sampling, understanding of methods and standards used for field studies, taxonomic principles, soil science, hydrology, and geology
and geomorphology.

I am ready to take on niche challenges and eager to develop my technical and field skills to a much further degree. I would be excited to pursue more creative projects related to my
background in plant sciences, horticulture, or identifying and monitoring the inventory of plants in the field for various goals and purposes.

On a final note, to summarize the last 6 months of my resume, I worked out of Reno, NV as an Ecological Monitoring Technician. It provided many experiences; notably, one of these main experiences was the opportunity to work with the data that my crew and I collected on BLM lands across the state of Nevada. GBI partners with the Bureau of Land Management to collect data on various projects via a national standard known as the Assessment Inventory and Monitoring (AIM) program. At GBI, as contractors, we used a variety of ESRI products to manage, organize, and store the different types of data for the BLM. This data that is collected each season is used by the BLM through their 5-year monitoring projects to make land management decisions, assess habitat and post-fire regeneration, or projects of other environmental criteria.
