JOB SUMMARY:

The Master Fuel Operations Tech is responsible for the operation, monitoring, adjustment and inspection of fuel handling equipment to maintain coal silo levels necessary to achieve SVM production goals. This job directs the operation of fuel handling equipment such as conveyors, dust collectors, portal reclaimers, rail cars, water trucks, front end loaders and sump pumps to reclaim and stockpile coal.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED and a minimum of three to five years related experience and/or training.
  • Competent in use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word and Excel.
  • Competent in the use of IMMPower.
  • Heavy Equipment certification; qualified to operate a water truck, forklift, bobcat, zoom boom and large front-end loader within the facility’s coal yard.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Requires normal or correctable vision, normal hearing, and manual dexterity.
  • Regular sitting and occasional standing, walking and reaching.
  • Occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Requires up to 75% of work in areas with exposure to outdoor weather and loud noise.
