Being a Cage Tech means I work at Cleveland State University's School of Film and Media Arts equipment cage. I, along with co-workers, am responsible for ensuring the proper treatment of gear, preparing orders for student productions, checking in student orders upon their return, and sometimes researching new gear to add to the school's growing supply.

Supported serving staff, food runners and bussers to keep dining room presentable and ready for guests.
Answered phone inquiries to record takeout orders and respond to service questions.
Completed closing duties by emptying trash, safeguarding alcohol and polishing silverware.
Managed guest expectations by relaying information regarding hours.
Checked dining and serving areas to verify proper cleanliness and readiness for guests.
Assisted kitchen staff with food counts by determining number of items required for complete service.
Packed take-out orders and gave them to delivery drivers from various services such as Grubhub and DoorDash.
Made foods such as pizzas, salads, and appetizers.
Occasionally arranged place settings with fresh tablecloths, tableware and flowers to create appealing tables.

Engaged with others successfully using strong verbal and written communication skills.
Volunteered to help with special events and programs by checking in participants and giving directions.
Sorted and distributed canned goods and produce to disadvantaged families.
Welcomed customers and answered questions.
