As an automotive mechanic, I worked on the fleet vehicles and machinery that were needed for construction.
I would,
- Inspect the vehicles and machinery.
- Tell my boss what was needed, and I got it ordered on time to be installed.
- Request access to the vehicle/machinery, and get parts installed correctly as soon as possible, so as not to disrupt workflow.
- Recommend preventive maintenance.
I was the only mechanic, so I was responsible for myself and had to hold myself accountable.
I would also work on other customers' cars when work was slow.
