Nathan Cruzado

During my nursing clinicals, I gained hands-on experience in a variety of settings, including MedSurg, mental health, and OB units. I effectively assessed patients, administered medications, and provided emotional and physical support, ensuring their well-being. In the MedSurg unit, I monitored vital signs and assisted with daily care; in the mental health facility, I fostered open communication and supported patients in managing their mental health; and in the OB unit, I observed surgical procedures, monitored high-risk pregnancies, and provided postpartum care to both mothers and infants. My diverse clinical experience has equipped me with strong patient care skills, adaptability, and a compassionate approach to nursing.

• I am currently in nursing school, working toward becoming a nurse, where I am developing the skills and knowledge necessary to provide exceptional patient care. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my friends by going shopping, attending sports events, and exploring different cities. Staying active is important to me, and as a competitive powerlifter, I push myself to achieve new strength goals while balancing my academic and personal life.

• I graduated high school with a 3.8 GPA and currently maintain a 3.5 GPA in university. In high school, I earned the Best Offensive Player award on my volleyball team, demonstrating my leadership and athleticism. In 2024, I won 1st place in the California State Powerlifting competition in the Junior 75kg weight class, and I am now focused on competing at nationals next year. My academic and athletic achievements reflect my dedication, discipline, and commitment to success, both in the classroom and in the powerlifting arena.

• I earned my high school diploma with a 3.8 GPA and have since pursued my passion for healthcare. I am currently working toward my Associate's Degree in Nursing, with plans to graduate this coming December. My commitment to academic excellence and career advancement reflects my dedication to providing high-quality care as I prepare to enter the nursing profession.
