I am interested in a position with your company. I am a dedicated, hardworking person that can be an asset to my employer because of my understanding of mechanical things.
Although I do not have a lot of working experience, I worked throughout my years as a teen running my own lawn mowing service and performed repairs on my lawn mowers and equipment. I was honest with my customers, performed my work above their expectations and kept them for several years until I graduated.
I was employed by Matco in Morton, IL right after my graduation for a brief period of time. I prepared John Deer and Caterpillar Tractor Cabs for painting. I was thorough in my work and enjoyed learning a new skill. I left this job so I could increase my wages and accepted a job with Liberty Steel (Keystone).
My duties were to run a machine that made barb wire. I was able to learn this job although it was challenging. They had high expectations of production while I was still learning the more technical side of the job I was hired for. The machines I had to work with were outdated and broke down continuously so it made it difficult to achieve their expectations. I decided to go back to my more mechanical skills and applied for a job at Mid-Illini Auto in North Pekin.
I was employed with Mid-Illini for 2 years and enjoyed the work and the shop very much. I am skilled in this kind of work due to the teaching of my elders and have always had a good understanding anything involving an engine! It is my passion and I hope to further my career in this field and be hired to your company.
Thank you for your consideration in advance and I hope to hear from you to schedule an interview soon!
