Nathan Haub

As a student of Cal Poly's nationally accredited Construction Management Department, I believe the education I received significantly contributed to achieving my career goals. During my 2023 Summer internship with Kiewit Bridge and Marine, I experienced the practical application of Cal Poly's effective teaching methods. These experiences enhanced essential skills crucial to the construction industry, including:

Confidently asking questions
Approaching new tasks effectively
Communicating concisely
Mastering scheduling skills
Demonstrating effective team leadership
Applying cost engineering principles

Outside of my academic and professional pursuits, I find pleasure in outdoor activities such as hiking, off-roading, camping, and skiing. These experiences fuel my passion for working in the field alongside laborers and foremen, making a field-based construction career an appealing choice for me.

• Supervised team of 30 staff members.
• Documented and resolved rebar strike issues which led to necessary change orders.
• Collaborated with team of driller in the development of a deck dowel drill out operation and execution.

• Honors & Awards , MCAA National Competition 2nd Place Award (Mechanical Contractors Association of America, Inc.)
• Mar 2023 Dean's List (Cal Poly San Luis Obispo) Dec 2020 - Mar 2023 The Dean's List is compiled at the end of each quarter to recognize undergraduate students who have completed 12 or more letter-graded units at Cal Poly during the quarter with a 3.5 grade point average or better for that term.
