  • Plan the use of workers, equipment, facilities, and materials on a daily or project basis
  • Adhere to work priorities, project schedules, resources and detailed work plans established by higher level supervisors
  • Recommends changes to schedules, priorities, and work sequences as necessary and make minor deviations in procedures or redirect resources under their control to overcome problems such as equipment failure, material delays, or unplanned absences
  • Assign work to individuals and provide technical direction and or help in accomplishing difficult work steps and process
  • Observe work in progress to anticipate and resolve problems

  • Recommend restructuring positions when necessary to achieve the most effective and economical utilization of personnel
  • Recommend training based on needs, assessment, and mission requirements
  • Maintain work reports and records relating to shift such as: production, cost personnel, equipment materials, and aircraft time and attendance
  • Take action to prevent or correct situations that may give rise to complaints of discrimination and or sexual harassment
  • Ensure safety equipment and protective clothing and or gear when mandated by regulations
  • Manage the aircraft maintenance production effort by assigning priorities of work necessary to accomplish maintenance plans
  • Direct action to resolve personnel and equipment resource short falls that impact unit mission activities
  • Co-ordinate maintenance with other flight line expediters and section supervisors to accomplish repair of aircraft, to meet the aircraft Inspection schedule
  • Ensure available personnel are dispatched in a timely manner and complete required maintenance actions in compliance with technical orders to meet operational requirements
  • Ensure accurate reporting of aircraft status and tracking of maintenance personnel on duty and available for dispatch
  • Hazardous Material Manager: Ordering, maintaining, and disposing of hazardous material
  • Equipment Custodian: Maintaining and inspecting of CA/CRL equipment for serviceability and readiness for home station and deployment use
  • Familiarization with TCMAX tool accountability program to maintain accountability of all tools issued for use on flight line and mission use
  • Familiarization with deployment pallet build up
  • Familiarization with ISU 90 deployment build up
  • Monitored and assigned upgrade, on-the-job, and ancillary training to unit members as a unit training monitor and maintenance trainer.
