Proven to excel in fast-paced environments, I leveraged strong organizational skills and effective communication at both Ward's Bridge Inn and Larry's Restaurant to enhance team efficiency and customer satisfaction. Trained new employees, showcasing leadership and a detail-oriented approach. Achieved significant reduction in wait times, demonstrating a blend of hard and soft skills vital for any dynamic role. My flexibility is powerful, being able to learn any new role and contribute to the team however I can.
As a Busser, I am responsible for clearing, resetting, and cleaning tables quickly to prepare for new customers. Bussers will bring bread and water to new tables, and refill as necessary. Additionally, communication with staff to efficiently keep tables ready for incoming guests is critical. Should they need to help servers run food or do other tasks, they are ready to assist.
As a Salads person, I am responsible for making the salads, desserts, as well as any coffee orders for the servers. (Free salads are provided to customers with an entree order). Whenever I am free of orders, I complete busser side work in the kitchen that is available to help the team as best as possible.
For both roles communication and initiative is necessary to succeed. The team needs to work cohesively, and we all help each other without asking as needed to keep wait times as low as possible for customers. As a more experience employee in both roles, I have also been tasked with training new employees several times.
Expo is responsible for communicating with the chefs to keep the kitchen organized and orders ready for the customers. The expo is responsible for to-go orders as well, thus they pack the orders and restock supplies for such orders. They also assist the bar and servers with orders as necessary.
Great communication skills and organization is necessary to keep track of the orders and keep the kitchen productive.
