This is my first year out of a working studentship. To make the transition a little easier I decided to rent a barn from my mentors and former employers Tik and Sinead Maynard.
Through this barn I am primarily offering training board with a heavy interest in colt starting and helping horses and their owners through roadblocks. However, getting horses in is proving to be a challenge. Thus I am seeking riding opportunities outside of Copperline as well.
Assisted in the training of horses. As well as all the things that go into the upkeep and management of a farm.
Rode a ton of horses. Worked very long days. As far as riding goes I assisted in the fitness of her personal horses, showed horses to prospective buyers, competed sales horses, and rehabbed horses from injury. Outside of riding I assisted in the daily management of a busy horse farm, as well as grooming at competitions.
Primarily had lessons on my own horse in exchange for work. I did assist with the upkeep of the farm, and had opportunities to help with the training of some of her personal horses.
First working studentship, great place to start. Mainly did everyday Chores in exchange for lessons.
