I worked inside a warehouse that was open to the outside; temperatures would vary based on the time of the year.

- I learned how to use power tools and their proper use.

- Learned how to use a forklift.

- I learned to paint with a spray gun.

This job consisted of moving stations to get a certain job done; it could vary from:

-prepping metal with power tools

-prep for painting

-painting via spray gun

-moving finished metal products and items from one spot to another for shipping and starting projects (forklift)

-shoveling sand for sandblasting.

At Sysco, I worked in a refrigerated environment and was in charge of feeding the production lines with product for the main fresh-cut room.

After my workload for the day, I would help package the products, which would be sealed and put into boxes with a precise number given for each box, labeled with the quantity and product inside.

There would be meetings on food safety and the use of proper equipment, like high-vis and composite toe boots. Work time could vary based on the workload for the day; it could go from 8 AM to 4 PM, or 8 AM to 6 PM.

This job was an on call job that required me to clean biohazards safely. While working here I learned,

-how to use power tools

-proper use of PPE

-and general safety with chemicals and biohazards

At Walmart, I was a shelf stocker.

I’d be given a pallet of boxes and a scanning gun for labels to properly put products where they needed to be.

• Service for those at an upmc living home. Required to clean, make desserts, serve tables, clean tables, clean trash from rooms, and reset tables.
