Extracurricular Activities

My high school had extracurricular activities that were used to create a funnel towards a chosen career. I chose musical and audio tech. Included in working on stage with actors, dancers, and our school band, me and my stage crew were responsible for all assemblies, graduations, theatrical performances, dance performances and pretty much everything else. I had paid experience and even my first job was acquired through tech. I was taught professionalism, I was forced to push through the impossible to make it possible, I had an extreme bond with all of my former and future techies. Tech has taught me everything I know and pushed me to be the worker bee I currently am! I go back every now and then when gigs are available and it's such a thrill to teach the new incoming freshman about possibly the best times of their lives.
