• In my time at Powell Valves, I made 250+ CAD models and assemblies for commercial valves including butterfly valves, globe valves, and gate valves. I helped develop a script for the company's Autodesk Excel sheet for their threads that calculates the minimum minor diameter to help them meet ANSI imperial thread standards, which is still in use at the company. Started a project to make a lug-type butterfly valve using global variables as measurements to save months of CAD work for the other engineers. I chose not to seek future employment at Powell because of the lack of team/collaborative engineering work that the company could provide. I thrive in team environments and moving around in my workplace, and I unfortunately couldn't find that dynamic at Powell.
