I have always tried to work with others as a team. I take the focus off of myself, and want to see how we can get our goal accomplished. My first job was a dishwasher at a local restaurant in Spring City. I worked there for about 3 years, and people may look at that job and think it is insignificant. But if the dishwasher is not doing his job well, the kitchen could run out of plates, and therefore become way behind on orders.
My second job has been working as an Admissions Assistant at Bryan College. There, my goal was to strive to convince prospective students to come to Bryan College, and while I worked there, I also assisted in setting up for events such as the Scholarship weekend. This involved putting up a balloon arch as well as lifting heavy items from one place to another. My main goal was, "How can the team succeed?" Therefore, I will always strive to work as a good teammate no matter how challenging the task may be.
I was able to take a look at much of the accounting software that they used, and I learned the basics of how to do tasks such as journal entries.
In addition, I organized data for the CFO of the company in different Excel files.
Although I did not know much when I went in, I was eager to learn and they said they were pleased with my work
I worked in about every area possible in this organization.
I acted in plays, stage managed, ran lights and sound, and worked in the Box Office up front. The only place I never worked in at some point was concessions.
I took care of their homes while they were away on vacation. The houses were clean when I left, and I was able to gain experience in running a household for a short time. This made me believe that I could step in for someone when they needed me to at any given moment.
I'm a team player I put the interests of others before myself I'm all about being apart of a winning squad, and I will do what it takes to assist
I may not be the most experiences when I walk into a job the first time, but I am eager to learn so I can contribute in any way that I can
I love problem solving It was one of the reasons why I majored in accounting I love numbers, and I enjoy looking at a situation and asking, "What needs to be done to fix this?" I want to communicate with others openly so we can work together to get the job done
I always try to be available whenever my job needs me Therefore, I will try to be flexible when it comes to scheduling
I always strive for professionalism This is because I want others to respect me, and I aspire to respect my coworkers as well
