Nathan Workman is a University Lecturer at Wenzhou Kean University, China, who has spent nearly a decade working to prepare students academically for international higher education. Currently, he teaches across a variety of education and academic composition courses, as well as serving as the acting coordinator of the University’s Academic Writing Center. Alongside his professional work, he is completing his PhD at the University of Bath, U.K., specializing in education migration. His research interests include student immobility and the barriers and challenges students face when navigating migratory pathways. This is currently being explored in a project that aims to understand how factors related to a student’s aspirations and capabilities map onto their pre-migratory journey.
