I am a twenty-year-old double major student in political science and psychology. Through researching political psychology, I will be exploring what persuades people to choose certain behaviors in different political environments. My goal, once earning a doctorate in political psychology, is to perform research in my desired field. Here, I would like to be able to use psychological research and theories, along with applying various quantitative methods, to political and other social domains.
I have published thirty-one articles in my college newspaper which primarily focus on state and national news. In one investigative article, "UNM invests in funds with shares in Israeli companies," I researched through records requests pertaining to the University of New Mexico's investments. This article was republished on SourceNM on July 3 and featured on the front page of The Albuquerque Journal, a state newspaper with the largest readership in New Mexico, on July 6.
I was employed as a server in a popular Albuquerque restaurant. As a server, I handled high-intensity situations and worked alongside a team.
The Greenside Cafe served as my first job in which I learned how to organize my time, lead a team, and develop my interpersonal skills. I first started at sixteen as a host and graduated to a server two years later.
