Summary

I am is a Professor of Construction Management at the Civil Engineering Department and the Head of the Department of Architecture of the University of Benin. He has advanced degrees in both Architecture and Systems Engineering and is an internationally acclaimed authority in Construction Management Issues in Developing Countries. He attended the Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria, Nigeria, the Kyoto Institute of Technology, Kyoto Japan and the University of Benin. He is a scholar and fellow of the Japanese Government Monbusho. I have over 100 publications and technical works in reputable International and Local Academic Journals and also published numerous books.

· I was appointed a full Professor in the field of Construction Management in 2016 and has taught full-time in a career spanning over 40-years in academia, industry and leadership, with a strategic vision that is aligned and contribute to the continued success of the Construction Industry in becoming a "Creative. Distinctive. Impactful Industry. I am deeply committed to fostering an environment that nurtures creativity, innovation, and impactful research within the Industry’s mission of developing professionals who will contribute to "transformed societies" which resonates strongly with me.

· As an academic leader, I have held a number of leadership positions in which I pioneered and managed academic programs with success, led initiatives to develop curriculum, and encouraged research collaborations.

· Beyond academics, I have actively engaged in consultancy and construction where I have worked for the Federal and State Governments of Nigeria, the governments of Botswana and Eswatini and also consulted for the World Bank, the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and many other corporations. I have hundreds of Design and Construction Projects to my credit including the design and construction of the very high-end Nigeria National Network of Seismographic Stations (NNNSS).

· Led the development of a new curriculum for the School of Built Environment and Sustainable Development, of the University of Environment and Sustainable Development in Somanya, Ghana.;

· Led a Team of international experts, Interacted with Stakeholders including the President, Ministers, other Government Official, Community Leaders and the people of Kenema in Sierra Leone, to develop Bankable business plan for the Harvesting of Kambui North-Forest Reserve, Nongowa Chiefdom, Kenema District, Eastern Province, Sierra Leone for submission to US Development finance corporation (DFC).

· Developed a bankable proposal for the Construction of 400-Room Student hostels and 300-Staff Housing Units for the University of Sierra Leone, in Freetown,

·I have led a team of consultants to provide quality assurance by making sure the project is delivered according to specifications utilizing appropriate materials and workmanship on the Azura Edo IPP project which was delivered 8-months ahead of schedule and attained 4.5 Million Man-hours without any lost time to accident, in 2018. · We also undertook the training of high level manpower (Doctoral Level) in the area of Power plant Design, Construction and Project management on the Azura-Edo Independent Power Plant, an US$800M, 459MW Open Cycle, Gas Turbine power station construction at Ihovbor, Edo State, for the practical training of 4-Nos PhDs and 100-Nos undergraduate students in different aspects of Power Plant design, construction, maintenance and management and other downstream appurtenances.

· We also verified the as-built drawings and all other relevant documents for the close-out processes. These experiences have equipped me with the strategic vision, communication skills, and collaborative leadership style required to navigate the complexities of the Faculty and guide it towards a successful future.

· Was a member of the National Technical Committee on Earthquake phenomenon. Committee (NTCEP). The work of the committee led to the setting up the Nigerian National Seismic Monitoring Network with Monitoring Station in 9-States and Abuja. I subsequently led the team of consultants for the design and construction of the Nigeria National Network of Seismographic Stations (NNNSS) located in Karshi, Abuja, and 9 other states.

· I was the pioneer director of the University of Benin Centre for Part-time Programmes and the pioneer Deputy Provost of the University of Benin College of Petroleum and Gas Engineering, which metamorphosed into the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun (2004 – 2006). He was the Director of the University of Benin Networks Unit when UniBen won awards in 2006, and 2007. He is currently on medical leave. He has successfully supervised 2 Ph.Ds.

· I was the pioneer director of the University of Benin Centre for Part-time Programmes and the pioneer Deputy Provost of the defunct University of Benin College of Petroleum and Gas Engineering Effurun, which metamorphosed into the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun.

· He was the Director of the University of Benin Networks Unit responsible for the University ICT infrastructure and the University Networks connectivity and was voted the 2nd best ICT deployed University in the COMMONWEALTH UNIVERSITY OF THE YEAR AWARD 2006, by the Times Higher Award ranking of Commonwealth Universities, London and the ICT Africa Award as the Best ICT-driven University of the Year 2007. in Africa and 2nd in the Commonwealth during the period. 2006 - 2008 and an award from the Nigerian Universities Commission for the University with the most significant Improvement in 2004.

· Technical Adviser, National Steering Committee for the 2nd Peer Review of Nigeria under the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) 2013.

· I cultivates rapport with individuals to optimize project goals and output, resolve complex problems and deliver innovative improvement strategies. Proficient in Auto-Cad and o and Microsoft Office suite. I am also willing to take on added responsibilities to meet team goals..

The Project which is the first privately owned Power Station was delivered 6-months ahead of schedule.

Consultant: The Scope of the Work conducted included amongst other functions:
Monitor the progress of work against the work program submitted by the contractor and report any delay in actual execution in all aspects of the identified power plant projects in the Zone. Special attention and report is to be paid to the following:
1 Local Political Force Majeure events such as acts of war, sabotage against the plant, national strikes, political unrest, civil disturbances, acts of terrorism, etc.
2 Delays in the construction of interconnection facilities by the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN).
3 Delays in the delivery of procured items.

Undertake random laboratory tests, analysis, approach and methods, particularly what is expected in terms of participatory approaches.

Work with the Lenders independent Consultant to receive updates on disbursements in order to align projected project costs with actual costs and provide reports on potential cost over-runs to NBET.

Provide quality assurance with regards to the project by making sure the project is delivered according to specifications utilizing appropriate materials and workmanship.
