As a stockman if it was my job to close i would have night tasks that i would start around 5:00PM that i need to get done before the store closes at 8:00 PM and those tasks were. Sweeping the entire store with a dust mop, Cleaning our break room which included taking out our trash and replacing it with and new linear and wiping down the table, counters and sinks, and sweeping the floor. Going outside to gather carts and put them back where they belong which is on the side of our building and while i'm outside I take out the old linears that is filled with trash and put in new linears. The last thing i do before 8PM is clean the bathrooms which involves me cleaning the mirrors, sinks, toilets, unerials, putting in fresh toilet paper, brown bags for used women products, paper towels, sweeping the bathroom and mopping the bathroom floors. When i am done around 8 or at 8pm i get ready to spot mop which is when you go around the floor after all the customers leave and you mop a section of the store depending on the day and try to mop up as many smudges that is on the floor as you can, then when all of that is done and we have not been dismissed i try and go help wherever i am needed to help my peers. During the day as a stockman i try and do whatever needs to get done that day and that could be Building furniture, opening our product in the back, setting up isles, handling stock man calls from up front, putting out our product on top cap or on shelves, cleaning up messes during the day, and your always working with someone on a task during the day
The first thing i do as a cashier is ask if my register was counted and if it wasn't i count it and make sure there is a correct amount of money in there before i open up. When i am checking out customers when they get to my register i ask how they are doing today and if they found everything ok and when they purchase and leave i make sure to tell them to drive safe even if they are rude to me. If a customer does have a question most of the time i can help them on my own but if i get a little confused i ask my CSM ( customer service manager) to help the customer if i can't provide a good answer to the customer. other things i have to do is when i get a 100 or 50 dollar bill i have to scan it under our blue light to make sure it's not a fake and if it isn't i give the customer there change.
