• Perform water system repairs, including water mainlines, water service lines, as well as the new installation of water mains, water services, and water valve replacements.
• Replace and service fire hydrants, air vacuums, and angel meter stop replacements to improve system performance.
• Take part in the after-hours standby rotation, responding to emergency system failures, as well as customer calls and complaints.
• Lead the field crew on various maintenance and construction tasks, coordinate workflow on the job site, and ensure work is being completed in a safe and efficient way.
• Operate different equipment for job sites, including backhoes, excavators, skip loaders, skid steers, and dump trucks.
• Navigate utility maps, work orders, and district standards, as well as maintain detailed documentation of work performed, materials used, and water loss for internal reporting.

As the senior water worker it was my job to oversee daily operations ensuring compliance with city regulations and safety standards. Trained new staff on operational procedures and safety protocols to enhance team efficiency, upload all the meter routes for the meter readers each day, as well as assisting with meter reading. I also replace and repair any leaks or stuck meter throughout the city. I assist and work with water billing with any rechecks, move in or move out work orders. Also handle any high bill work orders that customers call in. As the senior i am also in charge of large meter change outs such as 2" to 4" meters, as well as all the angle stop replacements. I assist in our fire service reading and repairing(if needed) program. I also am currently assisting with the changing out of old direct read meters and switching them to the new radio read meters, as well keeping up with the new upgraded meter system. I also assisted our water quality department with cross connections and backflow problems. I will also work with water billing and the front desk staff with customer complaints.
