Transportation Manager

  • Managing driver schedule including forecasting, vacations and daily adjustments
  • Manage D.O.T
  • Hours and overtime
  • Run weekly meeting including: Shrink, Routing, Transportation, staffing, etc
  • Back up router, cover routing when sick calls or vacation
  • Interviewing hiring and training new drivers and supervisors
  • Managing 8 supervisors, each have 12-15 drivers under them
  • Covering Director of Transportation reports/metrics when position is on vacation or working at another site
  • Involved in Gemba walks and work with safety on programs working hand in hand with safety.

  • Have been leading Safety BLITZ'
  • Started doing Safety BLITZ' for night crew
