Home Energy Specialist | Former Restaurant Manager | Customer-Focused and Tech-Savvy Professional
I'm currently part of the HomeWorks Energy team, working with the Mass Save Program to help homeowners make energy-efficient upgrades. I recently moved into a remote role where I review and approve energy efficiency projects, ensuring they meet program standards. I'm passionate about the work we do and proud to be part of a team that's focused on creating a better, more sustainable future for Massachusetts.
Before entering the energy field, I spent over five years at the Portage Yacht Club, where I gained hands-on experience in almost every part of restaurant operations — from managing staff and daily logistics to stepping in as a bartender (trained by a Michelin-starred mixologist) and helping out in the kitchen when needed. I built strong teams, mentored new employees, and always focused on creating great experiences for both guests and coworkers.
I also worked at Bistro Bella Vita, one of Grand Rapids’ top restaurants, where I deepened my knowledge of wine and fine dining. I was briefly trained by a Level 3 sommelier, earned my SERV Safe certification, and left on very good terms.
To round out my skills, I completed a one-year Cybersecurity program through the University of Michigan, giving me a strong technical foundation and a better understanding of digital systems and security — something I’m excited to continue applying as I grow in more remote and tech-driven roles.
Whether in hospitality or home energy, I’ve always been driven by helping people, solving problems, and being part of something bigger. I’m excited to keep moving forward with HomeWorks Energy and do my part to make Massachusetts more efficient and sustainable.
