
Highly motivated and passionate mariner seeking an Able Seaman position in the tug industry. Newly acquired and first time credential holder with my most recent experience as an Able Seaman for Coastal Transportation INC of Seattle. -Operated and maintained yard and stay gear
-Operated and maintained forklifts
-Operated and maintained windlass and capstans
-Stood as a lookout and began training as a helmsman

-Knowledge of safe cargo loading, stowage, and weight distribution in accordance with maritime stability principles

-Participation in routine safety drills including live firefighting simulations, abandon ship and medical scenarios
-Maintained cleanliness of deck areas, contributing to onboard safety and overall vessel presentation
-Demonstrated adaptability by quickly learning new tasks and filling various roles as needed during busy periods or crew shortages
This job has introduced me to the more professional and technical aspects of the maritime industry and it shows that I am always eager to broaden my horizons and become more knowledgeable and capable.
-I completed two seasons in the Southeast Alaska salmon fishery aboard a small purse seiner in addition to my experience as a longliner. This experience has been valuable in my experience as a mariner as it gave me knowledge and familiarity with smaller vessels and also a basic understanding of the duties of a cook and engineer.
This experience shows that I am well rounded, versatile and capable of conducting different kinds of operations.
