RESEARCH INTERESTS

  • I've set my sights on finding real-world solutions to conservation. We must drive balance between our natural world and industry/human occupation. I hope to see native fish populations return to ancestral waters, shellfish beds spring back to life, and coastal communities thrive alongside recovering marine ecosystems.
  • I strive to be part detective, part innovator, part diplomat. New approaches to conservation must certainly be conceived. We will need help from the public. They must realize the benefits of a healthy ecosystem. Experimenting, teaching, and demonstrating new solutions will be key. I intend to instill the same passion for our environment in others that resides in myself.
