Master Comail machine operator, over 12 years experience operating and maintaining machines, and unofficially supervising warehouse. Setup large machines for weekly job pools, exceeded production targets every quarter for several years, with varying crew sizes. Established myself as lead operator and setup operator for comailing department, which meant mastering and understanding controller program during and after installation to track and keep machine virtual timings accurate based on controller values, as well as completing the machine controller setups for the building every week. Worked with and at times trained techs as needed on the functions of controller program to keep machines running optimally, and promote machine longevity. Also completed weekly mechanical setups and made routine adjustments during production, and performed heavy mechanical maintenance on machines, with occasional assistance from crew or maintenance department. Fabricated some parts with limited shop access, (some at home woodshop), improvised and engineered machine upgrades to improve productivity. Suggested and drew basic plans on paper for some machine parts to be fabricated by outside shops within tight tolerances. Periodically worked on low voltage wiring when wiring contact was broken due to regular wear and tear among machines 65+ control boxes. Regularly used forklift during production to restock material at machine, consisting of as many as 54 different products entering upstream of machine at different product feeders, and outside of production to clean up warehouse and restock supplies for auxiliary machinery (CTM labels, bundle strap, shrink wrap, cardboard telescopic boxes, empty skids, etc.). Proficient with AS-400 program for tracking inventory, creating production time logs for self and crew, and electronically documenting machine slow downs and downtime for the shift. (downstream) automation for palletizing completed product bundles onto skids. Effectively setting up and running machinery smoothly with minimal downtime allowed time to complete other supervisory tasks periodically, like assigning jobs to and training crew mates, managing and cleaning up warehouse stock, receiving and unloading trucks with forklift, reporting or finding answers to inventory discrepancies to complete jobs. Multi tasked several responsibilities in a daily production shift, while maintaining high production as well as exceeding quality expectations and requirements.
