I have over 15 years of experience as a lawyer. I was born in Georgia, a small country in Europe, which is currently a developing state and faces many significant challenges, including in regulating legal issues. This is reflected in the work of both the public and private sectors. For me, as a lawyer, it was equally asimportant to work in both sectors.
Since childhood, I have been very hardworking and purposeful. With a lot of hard work and dedication, I managed to pass school subjects with such flying colors that I ended up skipping a couple grades and finished school at the age of 15. At the age of 15, I became a bachelor law student as well, and at the age of 19, I started studying for a master's degree. As you can see in my resume, at the age of 20, I started working in one of the most important public agencies, and by the age of 25 I was the head of one of the departments of this public agency.
As I have already mentioned, during the beginning of my career, I worked in the public sector, I worked as an intern and after 6 years, I took a leading role in one of the most important departments _ head of Insolvency proceedings Office, where we were dealing with insolvency and bankruptcy issues of different (private and government funded) companies. Moreover, I played a pivotal role in the creation and formation of the department, since it was on my initiative that it was separated from another department and formed into a separate one. The first employee team was also staffed by my efforts.
I subsequently moved to banking, and finally to the private sector, where I was also the head of the legal department of several companies (holding companies, mainly working in product exporting, construction and building sphere), where I also contributed to the growth of team members and strengthening of the department. In the banking and private sector, I have developed extraordinary skills in the field of legal compliance, financial, corporate, entrepreneurial, construction and labor law.
In all the above-mentioned jobs, I got promoted only within a few years. I held leadership positions in all of the above-mentioned jobs. Therefore, I have well developed leadership, team management, group work and task distribution abilities.
In addition, I actively participated in the development of various legislative acts and individual legislative norms. I was involved in various working groups, working on legislative acts, mainly on Bankruptcy/Insolvency/Rehabilitation issues. These working groups werecreated with funding from international organizations, including GIZ (German Organization _ The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH) and USAID (U.S Agency for International Development). Within the framework of these projects, I have been to various European countries (France, Germany etc.) to learn about international practices and to convey it in Georgian legal reality.
As a result of all of this, I established myself as an expert in the field of enforcement and bankruptcy law and conducted trainings, as well as lectures at several universities of Georgia (Ilia State University, GIPA (Georgian Institute of Public Affairs) etc.). And I was also the research director on the master’s thesis: “Finding, protection and realization of bankruptcy asset during insolvency proceedings.”
In addition to having a bachelor's and master's degree in law in my counntry - Georgia, and at this stage I am defending my doctoral degree, I also studied at the Chicago-Kent Law School in Georgia, which I’m continuing in the USA from January 13, 2025.
I am trilingual, I speak the Georgian, English and Russian Languages. At this stage I am taking English and russian classes in order to improve my language skills.
I moved to the USA on October 11, 2024, and started studying and exploring new opportunities here. I hope, with my knowledge and experience, I will be able to establish myself in the United States.
