• Responsible for RN assessments, providing treatments; medication administration; providing wound care. Collaborating with healthcare and custody staff to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate care in compliance with facility policies and legal regulations. Being pt. advocate. Responding to medical emergencies, provide triage and stabilize patients as needed. Ensure infection control practices are followed at all times. Document all assessments, interventions and patient responses in a timely manner. Maintaining HIPPA guidelines and strict confidentiality per facility regulations.

• Worked at Sacramento county jail. Responsible for performing a wide range of duties allowed by the Nurse Practice Act including, assessing diverse patient population, admitting patients to inpatient unit and always ensuring patient safety. Monitoring vital signs and behaviors. Notifying doctors of critical labs; need to increase level of observations. Implementing/educating patients as needed. Other duties as assigned.

• Provide supervision to clinical as well as non-clinical staff. Oversee the nightly operation of hospital ensuring safe and appropriate patient care. Medication dispensing and overrides as needed. Responsible for training and education of nursing and non-nursing personnel. Implementation and case management of W & I 5150. Crisis intervention, consultation, documentation and triage of new cases and referrals.

Responsible for admitting, assessing of patients from a diverse population. Administered medications , updated treatment plans and responsible for nightly audits. Supervise other staff as needed. Used Nurse Practice Act for nursing interventions.
