I was a teacher assistant for twaddlers, which are 2-year-olds. I then became a floater, so I was put in other classes to help assist lead teachers who may have needed an extra hand with projects or just help with the children. The school consisted of 9 classes: infants, toddler A, toddler B, twaddlers, preppers, preschool 1A, preschool 1B, preschool 2A, and kindergarten. I assisted in all 9 of those classes throughout my time there. Some of the things I did were helping with lesson plans and art projects. I was an opener for twaddlers, so in the morning I would open the class, and once the lead teachers were there, I would go and help assist other lead teachers. One particular class I went into after twaddlers was preschool 1B, and I would help the children with learning how to spell their names and making sure the children understood the lesson or project. Sometimes I would assist in preschool 2A, where I would help with workbooks and take about 4 children at a time to complete 2 pages of their workbook. That was mainly my position at the Learning Experience.
Achieved a scholarship for Teaching in my senior year of high school.
