• Analyze new and complex tax law from the Internal Revenue Code, Treasury Regulations, proposed legislation and other sources of tax law.
• Write and revise tax forms, tax instructions, IRS publications and chapters in publications.
• Use my own professional interpretation to simplify complex law into easily understandable content for taxpayers.
• Write corporate tax returns for businesses and corporations to meet their tax filing obligations.
• Work extensively with reviewers, Chief Counsel, other branches within Forms & Pubs as well as Section Chief.

• Audit tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations and amended tax returns.
• Review financial records of taxpayers to ensure the tax returns are accurate and the correct amount of tax is paid.
• Work on non-filer cases to try to get delinquent taxpayers to file returns that were not filed.
