Contributed to several cross-cutting policy initiatives impacting the work of DPPA and the wider UN system on preventive diplomacy and conflict resolution, including on unconstitutional changes of government, the geopolitical implications of competition over critical minerals, and supporting a team developing ways for UN peace operations to more effectively respond to existing and emerging peace and security challenges.
Directed Mission's involvement in multilateral political, development, and human rights agendas, crafting strategies to bolster Eritrea's presence in intergovernmental processes and guarantee active, visible engagement in international conferences.
Led Mission's collaboration with Security Council and UNGA on peace and security issues, establishing alliances to enhance Eritrea priorities, and producing analytical papers and strategic messages to support Eritrea goals in multilateral discussions, particularly on sanctions, human rights, migration, and trafficking in persons.
Managed coordination across departments and embassies, oversaw the preparation of high-level speeches, briefs, and analysis, organized the Ministerial meeting of the Dakar Agreement Contact Group on resolving the conflict between Chad and Sudan.
Prepared daily policy briefs and analyses on developments in the Horn of Africa and the Red Sea, provided updates on peace processes in Sudan and Somalia, and headed the team that drafted the 2006 Eastern Sudan Peace Agreement.
Drafted official communications, supported diaspora engagement initiatives, and developed proposals for digitalizing consular services.
