  • Analyzed trends of cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) and risk factors using Medicare and Medicaid claims data as part of a team project for the Data Analytics course at University of Maryland, Baltimore County
  • Our project focused on one dataset obtained from healthdata.gov, consisting of 42,640 rows and 29 columns
  • Through data cleaning, pre-processing, and standardization, we ensured accuracy and reliability of our analysis
  • Applying various statistical methods such as regression analysis and hypothesis testing, we examined prevalence, trends, and management of CVDs
  • To effectively communicate our findings, we utilized data visualization including bar plots, box plots, and pie charts
  • Additionally, we employed machine learning algorithms for predictive modelling to identify individuals at high risk of CVDs
  • Our project resulted in valuable insights and recommendations for improving CVD management and reducing prevalence
  • By disseminating the knowledge gained from our analysis, we contributed to informed decision-making for policy makers, healthcare providers, and researchers

  • I undertook a healthcare database project to collect data from a dental check-up program conducted at a school in Chicago, using MS ACCESS
  • To derive insights from database, utilized SQL queries, for instance, executed query to calculate average class of students, providing valuable information for analysis and research purposes
  • Additionally, I employed order statement to sort the doctors by their ID and used group by statement to group them based on the hospital names
  • To establish the relationships between the Student and Student Contact tables, I utilized the inner join statement, linking the tables based on the Student ID field
  • This facilitated the retrieval of relevant information about each student and their respective contacts.

Tableau Project

  • Using a simulated databases created, detailed study on financial situation of a company was done
