I am Neesa Dose,18, a Freshman at University of Oregon. I was fortunate enough to work in Membership Services for over a year. Some skills I learned that helped me work in this position were listening to people’s issues, helping solve problems, caring for our members, and other essential qualities to know when working with the community. I participated in a “Health Careers” program throughout my Junior and Senior Year of highschool. This program gave me the opportunity to gain certifications in Health Care while being able to shadow those who work in said Health Care. I was fortunate enough to be able to Volunteer at Senior Homes and schools for Eye screenings and Blood Drives. I am passionate about helping others and working hard. I plan to further my career by working in medical services, helping those who seek it, and putting my best foot forward every time.

Throughout my senior year of highschool, I took a class class called health careers. This class gave us many opportunities to learn about different careers in the medical field and learn all about different diseases, treatments, and medical terminology. Through this program is how i attained my CCMA. We would practice our skills through numerous labs while doing the NHA course work that was assigned to us. The day before we had a lab we would have to complete an exam through NHA and that Section for the week. Prior to taking my CCMA exam our class would give us "rotations". For a month I was assigned to shadow RN's and Providence. This opportunity let be able to over see what a day in the life of an RN looks like and what there schedule consists of. Through this program we also had the opportunity to go interview elders at our local nursing homes and be able to volunteer for extra credit.
