I joined the Escambia County Sheriff's Officer in 2014 where I was assigned to patrol. I received multiple letters of commendation for positive interactions with citizens. Between calls for service I would proactively conduct traffic stops and conduct citizen contacts in search of criminal activity. Was later selected to be on the High Intensity Patrol Unit where I self generated multiple narcotics arrests and warrant services. Currently assigned to the ECSO Narcotics Unit as a Narcotics Investigator. I continue to be a proactive investigator with self initiated local and federal drug investigations. Being assigned to the DEA Task Force I have gained experience in being a co-case officer on Title III investigations. I am also assigned the ECSO SWAT team where I assist in high risk search warrants and call out situations.
As an investigator I identify narcotic distributors, identify their methods and apprehend all individuals involved through an execution of search and arrest warrants. Proficient in writing search warrants to include but not limited to: residences, phones, PEN/PINGs, trackers, subpoenas and social media. Proficient in utilizing investigative tools and techniques to achieve the goals of the investigation and dismantle local drug trafficking organizations. As a narcotics training officer I am responsible for training new investigators. During my tenure as an investigator I have developed multiple local and federal relationships to achieve successful cases.
Currently a Task Force Officer for the Northwest Florida Drug Task Force (HIDTA) in Pensacola, FL, where I investigate drug trafficking organizations. During my time as a TFO, I have built relationships with other local, state, and federal agencies to achieve a successful case outcome. As a TFO I am responsible for completing detailed reports of the investigation and have written multiple federal search warrants. I have planned and/or participated in dozens of high-risk federal search and arrest warrants.
In this position I have participated in multiple high-risk situations to include, High Risk Search Warrants, Barricaded Subjects and Hostage Situations. As a SWAT Operator I have maintained physical fitness and firearms proficiency.
Responded to calls for service and was responsible for writing detailed reports of the incidents. Investigated multiple incidents such as burglaries, robberies, thefts, fraud, and assaults. I patrolled designated areas in a marked patrol vehicle and conducted proactive traffic stops in between calls for service. Developed positive community interaction and community policing.
Conducted regular campus security patrols and handled incidents promptly to maintain overall safety for staff, students and visitors. As a supervisor I responded to medical emergencies, trained new officers and was on call to answer any questions from dispatchers and officers when staff supervision went home. I managed 6-12 officers at any given time for the overall safety of the campus.
