As security Leader, I was tasked with handling all aspects of security planning for the U.S Vice President, Kamala Harris's visit to Jakarta to attend the ASEAN leader's Summit. I had to make sure the needs of U.S Secret Service were met, while also maintaining the important law enforcement and security relationships within the Host Nation that will undoubtedly benefit future for VIP/VVIP visits to Jakarta. I was the anchor to the overall Bi-Mission Security support for the ASEAN Summit.  I proved instrumental in securing additional access for U.S Secret Service agents after the Indonesian security services (Paspampres) severely limited participating nations to only one armed security agent inside the conference venue.  I negotiated with Indonesian Foreign Ministry and Paspampres contacts to secure the necessary approvals for the United States Delegation to be allowed four armed security agents inside the venue with the Vice President, more that any other nation was allowed at the summit. This was a huge win and ultimately allowed the U.S secret service to fully implement their security plan without any further compromise.
