I’m applying for this position despite not having a full year of experience( just over half a year) because I’d like a chance to work with this company again. I’ve done deliveries for Chick-Fil-A for more than 3 years while under McLane and I'd love to come back and keep doing countless more. I’ve learned a lot working for Chick-fil-A, and it’s an experience that I believe would make me a good fit for this position. I’m a hard worker, and I’m always willing to learn and improve. If given the chance, I will just require 2 or 3 weeks of training for driving and will quickly prove my worth when doing deliveries on the ground. I've always been told that I'm one of the fastest workers when it comes to delivering but I've always believed that I'm just very time efficient with everything and have mastered both the pallet jack and dolly stacking.
Thank you for reading this. If you decide not to hire me, I won’t take it personally and look forward to applying again after I’ve gained more experience.
I got my CDL Class A by myself and was required by my current employer to drive a "box" truck for 1 month while having a trainee with me as show of proof that I was ready for the responsibilities that came with driving a Class A tractor trailer with my own helper. as having been a driver helper for 3 years, I had all ins and outs of the job and only required experience on driving; I went on to successfully prove I had the capability of being on my own while guiding someone else under me.
