• Working on a multi-disciplinary team, I provided comprehensive direct, consultative, and advocacy services, as well as teacher and caregiver education, professional development workshops, and resources, with the purpose of integrating therapeutic services and outcomes into classroom and other school settings.

Key Accomplishments

Based on school needs, I spearheaded the creation and implementation of a school-wide system for student self-regulation, a semester-long class on study skills to sixth-grade students, and a disability awareness campaign. Co-created a weekly program on self-regulation and social thinking skills for first through fifth grades. Instructional lead. Member of a model Special Education team recognized by the Jefferson County School District and Special Education Collaboration Committee.

• Supporting two professors in the School of Education, I aided in research projects, facilitated and taught online classes, and promoted the EdD program.

Key Accomplishments

Gained research skills. Fostered relationships with an UNCO educational partner through direct work on marketing, promotion, and organization.

• As an occupational therapist, I provided direct and consultative services to students aged six through twenty-one in a facility school and community settings while collaborating with a diverse group of service providers, including special educators, speech and language pathologists, psychologists, school district liaisons, vision therapists, and board-certified behavior analysts.

Key Accomplishments

Supervisor for COTA and OT/COTA fieldwork students. Completed a Teacher Induction Program. Researched, designed, budgeted, and oversaw the installation of a sensory-motor room. Presented ongoing staff training. Created a way to capture and analyze a student's sensory input, correlated to behavioral spikes.

• As part of a transdisciplinary team, I provided assessment and the development of individualized family service plans for the implementation of consultative and direct therapy services and documentation, caregiver education, resources, and recommendations for care to children from birth to three in home and community settings.

Key Accomplishments

Active member of the Physician Awareness Committee. Author of educational articles on development for the parent newsletter. Produced and delivered training for co-workers, parents, and other professionals. Co-authored and presented a workshop at the Rocky Mountain Early Childhood Conference in Denver. Aided in the development and transition of the documentation system.

• Acting as a sole proprietor, I provided collaborative private, contract, consultative, educational, and directly accessible occupational therapy services, supporting the developmental goals of children from birth through age twelve.

Key Accomplishments

Managed all aspects of the business, including marketing, advertising, logo and document creation, client intake, process, record keeping, and billing.
