I am a person who've worked hands on for several years and knows the worth of a hard days of work. Long or stressful hours are not of my concern as I know good things come from great work as I put effort in to the little things I do, making sure the environment is at its best. My past jobs have pushed me to think more maturely, as I surrounded myself with veteran blue collar workers.
The University at Albany brings to me many opportunities to grow myself as a person, such as the Indigenous Student Association. This association has brought me out of my comfort zone and built me to be a more outgoing person. While being in this association I have been put in to places where I can express myself as well as express my indigenous self. I have gotten to talk about my self in front of several people in a classroom, while also being a teaching assistant, and helped teach people about my culture. My people skills have grown since then and only get increasingly better.
