My name is Nguyen Nguyen, and I am an international student from Vietnam. I studied Medical Laboratory Technology for about a year and a half at Pham Ngoc Thach Medical University before deciding to continue my education in the United States. I am currently studying at El Camino College, and I am seeking an opportunity to contribute to the campus community while gaining valuable work experience.
I would love to apply for this position because I genuinely want to support my parents financially, even just a little, while also building new experiences during my time in the U.S. As an international student myself, I understand the challenges and emotions that many students face when adjusting to a new environment. I believe this perspective will allow me to connect with other students and clearly explain available resources to them with empathy and understanding.
I am responsible, organized, and willing to work hard. I am confident that my background, combined with my passion for helping others, will allow me to be a strong fit for this role.
One of my accomplishments that I am proud of is being able to study abroad in the United States. It took a lot of courage to leave my home country, adjust to a new culture, and study in a different language. I also successfully completed more than a year and a half studying Medical Laboratory Technology at a university in Vietnam before deciding to change my career path to something that fits me better.
In addition, I worked as a private tutor for 9th-grade students in Math, Chemistry, and Physics, helping them improve their academic performance. I also gained customer service experience working as a cashier and bartender at a bubble tea shop, where I learned how to work under pressure and communicate effectively with customers.
Now, as an international student at El Camino College, I continue to push myself to grow, both academically and personally. I am proud that I have become more confident, independent, and adaptable through all these experiences.
