Hi, my name is Nia Anderson, and I’m currently a senior at Texas Southern University majoring in Accounting with a concentration in Commercial Banking, with an expected graduation date of December 2026. I’ve built a strong academic foundation while maintaining a 3.86 GPA and earning honors such as President’s List and Thomas F. Freeman Scholar recognition.
Professionally, I’m currently a Treasury Intern at Texas First Bank, where I’m gaining hands-on experience in treasury operations, client services, and cash management. I’ve also completed audit internships with Deloitte, including a seasonal internship and participation in their Emerging Leadership Program, which strengthened my technical accounting knowledge and leadership skills.
Outside of work, I serve as Assistant Treasurer and Program Development Chair for National Association of Black Accountants, where I help manage finances and create professional development opportunities for members.
I’m passionate about combining accounting, banking, and leadership to create value in the financial industry, and I’m currently seeking opportunities where I can continue to grow, contribute, and make an impact.
