Responsibilities included:

  • Client Director on high-value client accounts, and leads the global team on major multinational clients, events, and projects.
  • Developed client portfolio to deliver growth, identifying new opportunities for both the client and the business.
  • Lead pitches and presentations to clients to deliver the best branded solutions.
  • Designed project plans, employee engagement, communication strategies, events, and brand concepts.
  • Planned and managed live, virtual, and hybrid events, which included vendor and venue research and management, production and technical schedules, budget management, risk assessments, and financial and KPI reporting.
  • Collaborated with other departments to coordinate resources needed for the successful completion of projects, and managed team members through task-oriented and deadline-driven delegation.
  • One of Niamh’s highest accomplishments was acting as Project Lead in planning for a large multinational client for their global virtual event, which included over 25,000 employees. The 'Eventex' award-winning “All Together Gathering” and “More Ways to Dream” events took place for over 24 hours, across 52 cities, 13 countries, and 8 time zones.

Niamh led a multi-faceted role that evolved from managing the external events for the company to leading the corporate communications and events for the group. played a pivotal role in the achievement of the company officially being listed in the Top 30 ‘Best Workplaces’ in Ireland in her last 3 years in her role.

Internal Communications Role:

  • Designed and delivered the communications strategy and policy for over 350 employees across 15 sites.
  • Implemented employee engagement programs, initiatives, and events.
  • Curated all content and scripts for regular business updates and delivered them through the internal intranet, newsletters, and monthly chairman vlogs.
  • Acted as Company Secretary at monthly Board of Director meetings.
  • Facilitated training sessions on effective communication practices for staff.

External Communications Role:

  • Developed and implemented comprehensive communications strategies to increase public awareness of the organization's mission, services, and events.
  • Coordinated business stakeholders and thought leaders to develop content to highlight purpose-driven projects and unique culture through press releases, websites, newsletters, brochures, and email campaigns.
  • Managed all company events and PR activities including product/site launches and conferences.
  • Spokesperson for the Group and involved in speaking and presenting at external events and conferences.

Events Role:

  • Planned a wide range of major and national events, including Bloom in the Park, NYF Dublin, Forbidden Fruit Music Festival, Limerick City of Culture, and Run in the Dark.

#valuable is a global business campaign which called on global leaders and businesses across the world to recognize the value of the one billion people living with a disability by putting disability inclusion on their boardroom agendas.

Niamh undertook a temporary sponsored secondment to work as the Communications Manager on the #valuable campaign (www.thevaluable500.com) led by award-winning activist, social entrepreneur and Binc founder Caroline Casey, who is registered blind. The campaign reached over 31.2 million in 2017 (source: https://www.wearesevenhills.com/) and has been supported by leading global business leaders, including Paul Polman (CEO of Unilever), Reid Hoffman (Co-Founder of LinkedIn) and Dan Brookes (Chief Marketing Officer of Channel Four).

Responsibilities Included:

  • Identifying and engaging potential partners, funders and sponsors for the campaign.
  • Leading the communications plan and coordinating all media and agencies on the ground during the expedition.
  • Designing the #valuable brand ambassador programme and recruiting and managing 10 global ambassadors.
  • Producing and managing content for social media, reaching over 30,000 social media followers in 31 days.
  • Photography and filming of all expedition content and curating storylines, live videos and diary entries.
  • Managing the Valuable panel of speakers including Caroline (keynote speaker), Dan Brooks and Paul Polman at the 3-day One Young World Summit in Bogota and coordinating media interview schedule.
  • Niamh was proud to work on this hugely successful campaign where she helped to succeed in igniting the objective of getting global multinational businesses to commit to putting ‘disability’ on their boardroom agendas. This campaign was the foundation of the Valuable500 campaign - https://www.thevaluable500.com/ launched at The World Economic Forum in DAVOS 2019.
