Volunteer Experience

  • 11/01/22, Christmas Toy Drive, Organized community toy drive for Martin Luther King Elementary School to distribute the collected items to the children who may not be receiving nothing.
  • 07/01/22, Community Care Packages, Led a team of young adults to collect donations to prepare homeless care packages to beat the scorching heat. Over 20 young adults gave their time, and over 100 car packages were distributed across Albany.
  • 11/01/22, Thanksgiving Feast Plates, Gathered a few young adults and prepared Thanksgiving Plates to hand out on Thanksgiving Day. With Donations from the city, we were able to hand out over 50 plates of food to those who needed a warm meal for the holidays
  • 07/01/23, Community Care Packages, Led a team of young adults to collect donations to prepare care packages. The main audience for this initiative was the children of Albany. We wanted to alleviate the stress and pressure on parents to provide meals for the kids during the summer. There was an abundance of donations and support.
  • 10/30/2023, Popcorn and Prayer, Organized a Popcorn and Prayer event with a few peers in an effort to give spread hope and love to those souls encountered.
  • 11/14/2023, Albany Homeless Connect, Served alongside the Albany Homeless Coalition at the Albany Homeless Connect event hosted at the Albany Civic Center. This event brought together over 50 organizations, agencies, and charities with the goal of providing service to those facing homelessness.
  • 11/17/2023, School Book Fair, I partner with Lake Park Elementary School to assist in engagements with the kids such as school picnics, library assistance, or class readings.
  • 11/23/2023, Free Community Dinner, Partnered with my young adult peers to host a free Thanksgiving dinner for those in need! We were able to serve over 120 plates on the SouthSide of Albany.
  • 12/03/2023, Keep Albany Warm, Served the community by donating blankets, toys, and household food items to local families in need.
  • 12/06/2023, Winter Warmth Drive, organized a blanket and clothing donation drive in an effort to spread warmth and compassion in the city of Albany. Proceeds were given to the Albany Rescue Mission.
