  • The program is based out of three different clinics in the surrounding area:
  • SIU Edwardsville Implant Clinic
  • Responsible for implant cases referred from surrounding general dentists. Treatment consisted of restoring single implants to multiple units including fixed detachable prostheses to spark erosion overdentures. Hands on experience also gained assisting the oral surgeon surgically placing implants for each case restored.
  • SIU Advanced Education Clinic
  • Provided exceptional experience in fixed prosthodontics. Patients with full mouth rehabilitation and complex restorative cases are referred from the undergraduate clinic for treatment. Knowledge obtained regarding various extra coronal as well as intracoronal precision attachments in removable prostheses.
  • SIU Dental Clinic in East St. Louis

  • Tuesday mornings were spent treating only orthodontist patients. Simple comprehensive cases were treated start to finish as well as early orthodontic intervention to regain or maintain space in mixed dentition.
  • Clinical Rotations
  • Four monthly oral surgery rotations are fulfilled within the two year program which included third molar surgical extractions providing an excellent solid background in oral surgery. One afternoon a month was spent performing hospital dentistry, primarily on children, restoring all four quadrants of treatment consisting of restorations and extractions.
