• Participated in scientific research of the NISTCHO cells with monoclonal antibody.
• Created posters of my findings regarding the doubling times of the cells banked at different temperatures and presented the posters at two sciences fairs. My research led to NIST implementing these cells into Montgomery College's biotechnology curriculum.
• Aseptic technique and Cell Culture skills using SF9 and CHOK1 cells.
• Understands and applies GLP, GDP, and cGMP quickly and efficiently.
• Prepared various buffers and solutions in order to run a variety of protein assays such as Coomassie Blue Assay, BCA Assay, SDS-PAGE, Western Blot.
• Ability to perform the Bradford Assay, BCA, SDS-PAGE, and Western Blot.
• Run affinity columns using AKTA for protein purification.
• Built bioreactors and performed upstream and downstream activities.
• Used the IMAC Method Development to create a viable protein chromatography method for purification of a His-tagged protein.
• Wrote SOPs on how to perform BCA assay and how to use peristaltic pump, specifically the MASTERFLEX Easy Load
